Further details about the role

We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic Class Teachers to join our team at Lantern Lane Primary and Nursery School. Our school has a high-quality curriculum with amazing enrichment activities in PE, music and more. We have fantastic grounds and a supportive local community on our doorstep! We are very proud of the consistently good outcomes for our pupils and their excellent behaviour and attitude to learning. Our links with parents & carers, as well as the local community, are a real strength.

We know that happy and motivated staff are essential to a successful school. That’s why we are always looking at ways of ensuring teacher workload is manageable and provide a range of professional development opportunities. We’d like to think we all have a pretty good sense of humour too!

Please complete the application form available on the vacancies page of our school website - https://www.lanternlane.notts.sch.uk/vacancies - and return to us along with a covering letter outlining your experience and suitability for the position. Please submit your application via e-mail to office@lanternlane.notts.sch.uk by 10.00am Friday 10 May 2024.

Completed application forms will be passed to the recruitment panel for shortlisting and will be reviewed against the person specification detailed in the advert. Applications will be assessed upon receipt and we reserve the right to interview and appoint prior to the closing date. An early application is therefore strongly advised.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and all candidates will be subject to our safer recruitment process and successful completion of a medical and enhanced DBS check.

We warmly welcome visits to the school from prospective applicants. Please e-mail or telephone the school office to arrange an appointment.

Commitment to safeguarding

Lantern Lane Primary and Nursery School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS and other pre-employment safeguarding checks.
