    Updates to similar jobs

We have made some improvements to the Similar Jobs section at the bottom of each job listing. Jobseekers will see similar jobs that are more relevant to the subject of the job listing, for example maths or humanities. Similar jobs will also be more relevant to the job role of the listing, for example teacher or headteacher.

  • 18 December 2020

    Updates to search

When a search by town, city, county or region has no matches, jobseekers will be able to see how many more results there are within a wider radius of up to 200 miles. All the keywords from the original search will stay the same.

    Similar jobs

At the bottom of each job listing we have added a Similar Jobs section. If there are any jobs that match the search criteria of the listing the job seeker is currently viewing, the job title and the name and address of the school will be displayed. Job seekers can then follow the links to view any of the listings they are interested in.

Improved job alerts and home page

Job-seekers can now create job alerts from listings as well as search results. They can change the search criteria the alert is based on and how frequently the emails are sent. The home page has been refreshed to show counties or towns and cities with teaching vacancies. Job-seekers can also browse listings by subject or role.

    Multiple locations

We have made some improvements to how jobs are listed. Job seekers can see more easily where a job is located, whether it is at one school, more than one school in the Trust or at the Trust’s head office.

Hiring staff now have an option to upload related documents to job listings - for example, a job description, person specification, or application form. Files can be Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, JPEG, MP4 or PNG documents, and must be no larger than 10MB. Published vacancies can have documents added or removed.
